🛠️ open-webui Puts Every Model in One Window
⭐ 156,842 · open-webui/open-webuiRepo
Nobody needs another model this week. They need one window that talks to all the ones they already pay for, and that's the actual story today: a self-hosted interface finally doing the boring plumbing job well enough that switching providers stops being a rebuild. Pair that with a design skill that catches AI slop before a client does, and you've got two real wins for anyone shipping, not reading, this week.
A self-hosted AI interface that runs entirely offline and talks to Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible API.
You're paying for three chat subscriptions because switching models means switching tabs, habits, and history. This puts every provider behind one interface you control.
Quick start: pip install open-webui
Catch: granular permissions and user groups are team features, so a solo operator is paying setup time for infrastructure they may not use yet.

HallmarkRepo ⭐ 35,895
An anti-AI-slop design skill that lints your agent's output against the tells that scream machine-made. Catch: forty-eight themes to audition before you ship a first page, so budget the pick.
ThinkRailRepo ⭐ 2,718
An agentic IDE that runs parallel coding agents in isolated workspaces so they never collide. Catch: it's under four months old and still building extension support, so the roadmap matters more than the current feature set.

A deal has two sides. Your stack only sees one.
Aligned shows you the other half. See what buyers actually do between meeting. See what they open, revisit, and share; so you know the exact next step to move things forward. And your champion gets everything they need to win internally when you're not in the room.

Turn a long document into a three-minute decision brief
One prompt today instead of a how-to. It is one of ours, tested on ChatGPT and Claude. Copy it, paste it into the free app you already use, and drop in the one thing that changes every time: the document you need someone else to actually read.
The document:
[DOCUMENT TEXT]
Structure it like this:
1. Context. One sentence on why this document exists.
2. Findings. Three bullets, the things that actually matter to the decision. If the document supports fewer than three, give fewer and say so.
3. Recommendation. One specific action, with the owner and the timeline the document names. Where the document names no owner, write "owner not named in the document"; where it sets no date, write "timeline not named in the document". Do not choose either for me.
4. What happens if we do not act. One sentence, marked either as the document's own claim, quoting the words it uses, or as your inference from what the document says.
Cut anything that does not inform the decision. Under 200 words in total. Do not bring in a fact, a figure, a name or a date the document does not contain.
The line that makes it work: "If the document supports fewer than three, give fewer and say so." That single instruction stops the model from padding a thin document with manufactured findings just to hit a number, which is the exact failure that makes AI summaries untrustworthy in the first place.
TRY THIS: Open the longest unread PDF or doc sitting in your inbox right now, paste its text in, and see if the three-minute version tells you something the first page didn't.

Anthropic's own IPO filing leans on the cross-sell, not the model. More than half of its $100k+ customers now use both the Claude platform and a first-party app like Claude Code, up from about 30% a year ago, and that's the number that should worry anyone building a single-product wrapper. (TechCrunch)
The RealReal tightened its bot defenses after a shopping agent was told to camp its checkout cart for hours. If your agent automates a workflow against someone else's e-commerce site, assume the defense patch is coming and build for graceful failure now, not after you're blocked. (The Verge)
Vercel Connect now lets your agents search and attach to 1,000+ services straight from the CLI, no browser tab required to find the integration you need mid-build. (Vercel)
ChatGPT keeps misdirecting people with ordinary tech support problems toward 404 Media, telling them they have something journalistically notable. It's a small failure mode with a real lesson: a model that's confidently wrong about what matters is more dangerous than one that admits it doesn't know. (Simon Willison, quoting Jason Koebler)
